Our Lady of Lourdes is the title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary when she appeared in Lourdes, France.
On Feabruary 11, 1858 a young girl named named Bernadette Soubirous heard a rushing sound in a grotto at the bottom of the mountains in the Pyrenees. She turned to see a bright light and a beautiful lady dressed in white appeared to her.
These finely detailed statues have been expertly sculpted by Barbara Tortolani, a New England artisan noted for exquisite life-like detail that she portrays in all her creations.
