説明
Saint Bernadette Soubirous, Santa Bernardita, was 14 years old when the Virgin Mary appeared to her in 1858 in the grotto of Massabielle in Lourdes, France, presented herself as "the Immaculate Conception" and asked for a chapel to be built there. Today the Sanctuary of Lourdes welcomes millions of pilgrims, and Bernadette, who later became a sister in Nevers, is honored as a model of humility and trust.
This statue is made for us by our partner workshop in Lucca, Italy. It's cast in a traditional mold with resin and white marble powder, finished by a local artist and painted at the shop by artisans who have worked there for many years.
