Pope Francis told his audience in a visit to Manila that he places a special prayer or request under the statue of sleeping Saint Joseph which is sitting on top of his desk and asks the great Saint to prayer for his request to Jesus. Pope Francis has made this devotion very popular this year. The sleeping Joseph it is also a very popular devotion to assist you to sell your house or buy a piece of property thru his intervention. The legend goes back many centuries when the priests and nuns wanted to acquire a piece of property to build a church or school. Patron of workers and departed souls. Spouse of the Virgin Mary and foster father of Jesus. Also known as Prince and Patron of the Universal Church. Feast day May 1 as Memorial of Saint Joseph the Worker in the Catholic Church. We have the statue produce by our partner shop in Lucca, Italy. It's made in a traditional resin mold with white marble powder, then cleaned and finished by the local artist.
