Beschreibung
Saint Catherine of Siena, Santa Catalina de Siena, was a lay member of the Dominican Order, a mystic, an author and a Doctor of the Church. She is the patroness of the sick, of nurses and of those who suffer bodily illness, and her feast day is April 29. This statue shows her in the black and white Dominican habit.
The statue is made for us by our partner workshop in Lucca, Italy. It's cast in a traditional mold with resin and white marble powder, finished by a local artist and painted at the shop by artisans who have worked there for many years.
