Bring the peace of Lourdes into your home with this statue of Our Lady of Lourdes, Nuestra Señora de Lourdes. In 1858 the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette Soubirous in the grotto of Massabielle, in Lourdes, France, and presented herself as "the Immaculate Conception." Mary is shown in a white gown with a blue sash, her hands joined in prayer and roses at her feet. We had the privilege of visiting her sanctuary in France, and you'll find photos from that trip and from the workshop in the gallery.
The statue is made for us by our partner workshop in Lucca, Italy. It's cast in a traditional plaster mold, finished by a local artist and painted at the shop by artisans who have worked there for many years.
